Updates & Information Regarding
Conquest Maps & Coronavirus / COVID-19

01.14.21

There are currently no delays on producing and shipping our products!

We continue to see delays in transit times on orders delivered via USPS (typically our smallest sized push pin maps, posters, decals and pins) due to a backlog from the holiday season, so your order may take longer to arrive. We cannot guarantee that a shipment will arrive by a specific date, even if the tracking provides an estimated delivery date. You can also choose an expedited shipping option for a faster turnaround time.

Please refer to our policies page for more information on shipping.

At the Conquest Maps headquarters, we continue to practice safe social distancing, cleaning surfaces and hands well and often, wearing face masks, and keeping as much of the team remote as possible.

Stay safe out there! We hope your new map will keep you inspired for future trips on the horizon!

11.2.20

-------------------------------

There are currently no expected delays on producing and shipping most of our products!

We have continued to see delays in transit times across all of our couriers, and these will likely increase as we head into the holiday season and more packages are circulating. We have been informed that the number of shipments is expected to exceed the maximum that can be processed each day, so your order is likely to take longer to arrive than it might usually. We cannot guarantee that a shipment will arrive by a specific date, even if the tracking provides an estimated delivery date. In general, please allow plenty of time between when you place your order and when you need to receive it just to be safe! You can also choose an expedited shipping option for a faster turnaround time.

Please refer to our policies page for more information on shipping.

And as is simply the new norm, we are making sure we are practicing social distancing, cleaning surfaces and hands well and often, wearing masks, and keeping as much of the team remote as possible.

It hasn't been the year we all expected, but as we head into winter, it's never been more important to keep the travel bug alive and well (and all other bugs at bay!) by planning out where you'll be heading once things settle down! Stay safe!

9.23.20

-------------------------------

There are currently no expected delays on producing and shipping most of our products EXCEPT the newly re-released 48x32 pin boards, as we are still building up inventory. Expect possible delays on that product of up to 5 business days.

Delays with couriers unfortunately still persist, due to their struggle to keep up with higher shipping demands but fewer staff as the country is recovering from shut downs. There are widespread delays with USPS, resulting generally in multiple days additional travel time. FedEx is also having challenges, not so much due to COVID-19, but because of the wildfires. Right now we are seeing delays on shipments going to the west coast of a few days or more, as those hubs try to figure out how to find routes around the fires. In general, please allow plenty of time between when you place your order and when you need to receive it just to be safe, regardless of where you ship to.

Please refer to our policies page for more information on shipping.

And to reiterate, we are of course still practicing social distancing, cleaning surfaces and hands well and often, wearing masks, and keeping as much of the team remote as possible.

Even if you're still not able to get out and travel as much as you would like, this is the perfect opportunity to plan your next adventures! We're here to help you on your Conquest. Stay safe!

There are currently no expected delays on producing and shipping most of our products.

We are seeing some delays with couriers that you should be aware of, simply due to their struggle to keep up with higher shipping demands but fewer staff. Please be aware that there are currently widespread delays with USPS, in particular. We ship most of our smaller items like pins, posters and decals using the post office, so make sure to allow plenty of time between when you place your order and when you need to receive it.

And lastly, we are of course still practicing social distancing, cleaning surfaces and hands well and often, wearing masks, and keeping as much of the team remote as possible. We are here to help you achieve your travel goals, even if you might not be straying as far from home as you'd like these days. Stay safe!

5.12.20

-------------------------------

As of May 4, Ohio has allowed non-essential manufacturing businesses to return to semi-normal operation! That means us. So while we're still playing a little bit of catch-up, our awesome team has been hard at work and orders are moving out very quickly. Currently, typical order processing times are approximately up to 3 days delayed.

There are now many safety precautions in place that are mandatory, and we are being very diligent in adhering to them. This entails wearing masks 100% of the time when working or on site, maintaining at least 6 feet of social distancing, washing hands or utilizing hand sanitizer regularly, and disinfecting all high contact surfaces daily. About half of our staff remain remote to minimize exposure.

Courier update: We have also been seeing a small increase in shipping delays for our packages with both USPS and FedEx. Presumably this is due to high volume of packages being shipped right now. In the event that your order seems to be taking a little longer than expected to arrive, this is likely why. If possible, give yourself extra buffer by ordering a few days earlier than you might normally.

Thanks again for your patience during this pandemic! Who would have thought this was what was going to disrupt our travel plans?? I, just like you, am thinking more about travel than ever these days, seeing as we generally can't. But the dust will settle, and we will all get back out there soon enough, and certainly with more gusto that ever. Stay safe!

By now, we are all aware of the severity of COVID-19 and its impact around the globe. We want to keep you informed on how Conquest Maps is both responding and coping.

As an Ohio based company, we were issued a Stay At Home Order, effective March 24 until April 6th in the state's efforts to slow the spread of the coronavirus. The Conquest Maps team is now working predominantly remotely, but for now, we are able to continue building and shipping out your orders by operating at absolute bare minimum capacity during these times.

Currently, typical order processing times on pin board maps and posters are up to 2 days delayed. Wall decals are up to 5 business days delayed.

Plans and times may change based on government recommendations both state and nationwide. We will have to adapt to these changes and will be sure to keep you informed. This is a complicated situation for literally everyone, but especially as a small company. We greatly appreciate your support and urge you to continue shopping with us, even if it does take a while longer to get your order than normal!

Ohio Issues Stay At Home Order

The word has finally come in that the state of Ohio is under a mandatory Stay At Home Order.

While it hurts to do this, we are complying with the order for the well-being of all of our employees, community, and customers.

For now, this means that tomorrow, March 23, 2020, is likely the last day that we will be able to ship out orders for the foreseeable future. We are going to do everything in our power to ship all open orders before the day's end.

Moving Forward

Nobody knows how long this is going to last, but I can speak with certainty and say that it will pass! So while we won't be able to actually make and ship orders for a while, we can keep our website open to take orders.

If you're on the fence, please know that you WILL receive your order as soon as we can get back to work! Yes, it will take longer than usual, but once this storm passes, we will get back up to full capacity as soon as possible. It will be something for you to look forward to, a light at the end of the COVID-19 Tunnel.

Also please know that your order during these times is more important to us now than ever before. We're a team of 8 people. Your continued support is more appreciated that you may ever know.

We're all in this together. Be safe,

Interesting times we have here! This is definitely not where I saw things going as I started planning out 2020 last December.

As this pandemic has been sweeping across the world, uncertainty has grown in so many ways. We have been fortunate to be able to continue operations as normal for a long time here at CM, but that is slowly changing.

How We're Adapting

We have to continue to do what is socially responsible for the well-being of our employees, customers, and communities, as well as adhere to government mandates and suggested best practices.

Starting Friday, March 20, 2020, as many of our staff as possible will be operating remotely. This is new territory for us, as so much of what we do has to be done in person. But we are adapting to the best of our abilities.

About half of our 9-person staff will remain on site so that we can continue to produce and ship maps as long as possible. Of course everyone will continue to practice extreme sanitation habits and as much distancing as possible. A minimal number of people will handle products during production and shipping. If any employee shows any signs of illness, they will be not be permitted to work on site.

It is very important for us, as a small business, that we continue to operate as long as possible. Obviously we want our employees to continue to receive paychecks, but also ultimately so that the business as a whole can weather this storm. In many ways, times have almost never been more challenging or uncertain for small businesses.

It is my belief that it is our obligation to do our part in keeping the economy alive through times like these if we can. Which is why we are doing our best to continue supplying the highest quality travel maps available until we are no longer able!

We're Still Here For You

Many of us are stuck at home and cabin fever is going to be one of the biggest challenges we all face. But we WILL make it through this.

There has never been a better time to think about future travels and build your bucket list. It may not be possible to book a flight, but we will be able to get back out there see the world before you know it.

This knowledge is one major way that we can all maintain positive attitudes through these trying times. I hope that we can help facilitate some happy thoughts in an otherwise uncertain time.

Production & Order Processing

As of now, we are still shipping orders on schedule! Typically, most standard (non-personalized) items will ship out next business day. Personalized orders will usually take a day or two longer. As we migrate to remote operations, it is possible there may be an extra day of lag time, but as of now, we're still good to go!

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I'm sure you're sick of every company's "here's what we're doing" emails. But we're all in this together and we all care. Please support each other, stay strong, and in the words of Joe Dirt, "Keep on keepin' on!"
