The Winkel-Tripel projection has been used by the National Geographic Society since 1998 for standard world maps and has been adopted by many schools for teaching purposes. It shows some of the most accurate shapes and sizes of countries of any map projection.
Our poster map is a budget-friendly alternative featuring the same unique designs. Find a frame for it, add pin stickers, or DIY your own push pin map! Please note that the poster map does not come with pins or a frame.
We LOVE our Conquest Map. It was a gift to my husband for our 40th Anniversary to chart all the travels we've made in our marriage...as well as our individual travels before we were married. What a great experience as we relived our travels as we placed our pins in our worldwide destinations...and, now, how wonderful to walk by our map and remember the fun of our travels as well. It is extremely well made, easy to hang...and since we live in Ohio, was delivered in less than a week from the time I ordered it with a personalized legend. The only thing that would be better is if we could add a few cities so that we could really remember some of those small out of the way places that we remember so fondly. This will be one of those wonderful gifts that keeps on giving!
